Aim: To revise names of buildings
To give and get directions using the phrases:
how can I get/ go to …?
go straight ahead …
turn left / right into …
It’s on your left / right
To practice prepositions of place:
next to, between, on the corner of, in front of, behind
Pupils bring empty medicine boxes in class . They wrap and decorate them with glossy paper and give them names of buildings.
In the meantime, on cardboard we have sketched the map of our neighbourhood and pupils put their buildings on it, following or giving instructions (eg: Put the café next to…/on the corner of …)
Finally they move a car in the streets of the cardboard, going from one place to another, after asking for and giving directions.
